Country singer whose first #1 hit was "Delta Dawn," which she released at the age of thirteen. She has been nominated for multiple Country Music Association awards.
She was given a chance to sing at the Arizona State Fair after impressing the fair's entertainment managers. Her family moved to Las Vegas in 1969 and she performed there.
She founded her own record label, Tuckertime Records, in 2002.
She had a daughter, Presley Tanita and son, Beau "Grayson" with actor Ben Reed. She later had another daughter named Layla LaCosta with on-off partner and musician Jerry Laseter.
She recorded several songs with Glen Campbell, whom she also briefly dated from 1980-1981.
