Suzy Kassem

Most well known for her short fiction, poetry, and essay collection Rise Up And Salute The Sun, she is also notable for her work as a screenwriter, director, and producer.
She studied writing, filmmaking, and business at Harvard University, the University of California, and the University of Toledo and began her career as a director of television commercials.
In 2014, she signed on to write and direct an Egyptian film titled Moga.
Born to Egyptian parents Sami and Seham Kassem, she spent her early years in Toledo, Ohio, U.S.A. and Villars, Switzerland.
Kassem's 2005 short film Harmony Parker stars child actress Madison Davenport.
