Stuart Umpleby
Computer Scientist
Scientist and professor who specializes in cybernetics. He also did important work in the fields of systems theory, the philosophy of science, and management methods.
He attended the University of Illinois, where he received degrees in engineering in 1967, in political science in 1967 and in 1969, and a PhD in communications in 1975.
He worked on the year 2000 computer problem (aka Y2K).
He has been divorced twice and has two sons.
Like Bill Gates, a lot of his work has involved computer technology.
