He became interested in beauty from a young age as he drew women instead of playing with toys as a kid.
He was considered a protegee of Vogue editors Franca Sozzani and Anna Wintour. He has over 90,000 followers on his stevenmeisel_ Instagram account.
His parents are Leonard Meisel and Sarah Meisel.
He stood outside photographer Melvin Sokolsky's studio at 12 years old to meet model Twiggy.
