Midfielder who became captain of the Liverpool Premier League club leading the team to multiple FA Cups, League Cups, Community Shields, and Super Cups. He managed Liverpool U18 during the 2017 season and then became manager of the Rangers FC in 2018.
While playing for the Whiston Juniors as a 9-year-old, he was recruited by the Liverpool youth system and he signed with Liverpool on November 5, 1997.
He scored goals in the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final and in the 2006 FA Cup Final. He was named captain of the English national team in 2012.
He married model and fashion journalist Alex Curran in June 2007. He and Alex have three daughters, Lourdes, Lexie, and Lilly-Ella Gerrard, and a son named Lio.
He played alongside David Beckham on the English national team.
