In 2011, this Northern Irish politician became both a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for North Down and the Leader of his country's Green Party.
He joined the Green Party in the early 2000s and ran unsuccessfully in 2007 for a seat in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
When not involved in political activities, he fronted a band called The Killing Spree.
He spent his early days in Dundonald, Northern Ireland, and later attended Queen's University in Belfast.
Early in the second decade of the 21st century, he and Ulster Unionist Party politician Tom Elliott both served in the Northern Ireland Assembly.
