Steve Ditko
Cartoonist
Comic book artist who co-created The Amazing Spider-Man and Doctor Strange comics, as well as The Creeper. In 1963, he won the Alley Award for Best Adventure Hero Comic Book for The Amazing Spider-Man.
He studied at the Cartoonist and Illustrators School in New York, where he studied under Batman artist Jerry Robinson.
He won an Eagle Award in 1985 for Roll of Honour.
He had three siblings. His nephew was an artist who was also named Steve Ditko.
He created the Spider-Man comics with Stan Lee.
