Steve Southerland

Republican politician who became the U.S. Representative for Florida's 2nd congressional district in 2011. He has served under the Committee on Natural Resources and the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
He earned a B.S. degree in Business Management from Troy State University after receiving an A.A. degree in Mortuary Science from Jefferson State Junior College.
He is a strong advocate of gun rights and is a member of the National Rifle Association and founding member and former Vice President of the Bay Patriots.
He has four children with his wife Susan.
He was appointed to be Chairman of the Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida by Governor Jeb Bush.
