Decorated college player out of Oregon State at the defensive tackle position who was drafted in the second round of the 2011 draft by the Chicago Bears. He earned the Brian Piccolo Award in 2012, the highest honor for a Chicago Bear rookie.
While at Oregon State, he racked accolades such as being named a Consensus All-American, Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year, and first-team All-Pac-10 on two occasions.
He came close to breaking the NFL combine record for bench press when he benched 225 lbs 49 times.
He was born in Auckland, New Zealand.
