Stephen O'Malley
Guitarist
Guitarist and producer sometimes known as "SOMA" who is best known for his work as one half of the critically-acclaimed American drone metal act Sunn O)))) along with Greg Anderson. Musically active since the mid-90's, he has also been a member of the bands Burning Witch, KTL and Khanate.
He worked as a music journalist and was the publisher of the black metal fanzine Descent in the nineties before focusing on his music career.
He has designed album art for a number of influential metal acts, including Earth, Emperor and Burzum.
He was born in Seattle, Washington.
He performed live with renowned graphic novelist Alan Moore at the I'll Be Your Mirror festival in 2011.
