Stephen Covey
Self-Help Author
An American self-help author and speaker, he is best known for The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People (1989). His other published works include First Things First (1994) and Quest: The Spiritual Path to Success (1997).
He received degrees in business administration from the University of Utah (BS) and Harvard University (MBA). A devout Mormon, he also received a Doctor of Religious Education degree from Brigham Young University.
He taught at Utah State University for the final two years of his life (he was killed in a cycling accident in 2012).
He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his wife, Sandra, had nine children and fifty-two grandchildren.
He frequently collaborated with his son and fellow writer, Sean Covey.
