Winner of the 2006 Afro Hollywood Award for Best Actress, as well as a nominee for many leading actress awards.
She attended the University of Calabar for English and Literary Studies, before starring in two movies in 1997: Compromise 2 and Waterloo.
She directed, produced, acted in, and wrote the script for Through The Glass, which won and African Movie Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay.
She was married to Chikelue Iloenyosi from 2004 to 2007, and later remarried in 2012 to Linus Idahosa. They welcomed a son, Maxwell, in 2015.
She and Genevieve Nnaji were both award-winning Nigerian actresses.
