Winner of the Pilecki Medal for the best Queensland Reds player of the year, and the first Polish player to play for Australia.
He was born in a refugee camp and later attended Marist College Rosalie in Brisbane.
He became the first player to play in 100 matches for Queensland Reds.
His family emigrated to Australia in 1950.
He and Jason Hetherington both spent portions of their careers playing for the Queensland Reds.
