Soccer manager and former player who coached FC Copenhagen to Danish Superliga titles five out of six seasons from 2006 to 2011. As a player, he won the Kniksen Award as the Norwegian Midfielder of the Year in 1995.
He began playing youth soccer for his local club Grue in 1989.
He was pronounced dead after a heart attack in 2001 but was revived seven minutes later.
He has children named Ida, Markus and Sondre.
He and Roy Hodgson have both served as the manager of FC Copenhagen.
