American golfer who, in 2013, took over the top spot on the Women's World Golf Rankings for the first time. Some of her most notable victories include the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship and the 2013 Women's British Open.
She was diagnosed with scoliosis at age 11 and underwent a spinal fusion while in high school. She later became a four-time All-American at the University of Arkansas.
In 2012, she became the first American player to be named the LPGA Player of the Year since Beth Daniel in 1994.
Her mother Carol fractured her fibula while celebrating Stacy's victory at the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship.
She beat out runner-up Yani Tseng at the 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship.
