He held the starting punting and kicking role during his final two seasons at the University of South Carolina.
He made history in 2013 to by being the first player in over five decades to punt, score an extra point and throw a touchdown pass in a single game.
His father's name is Tad Lanning.
He joined the Cleveland Browns' special teams unit in 2013, the same year as placekicker Billy Cundiff.
