He began acting as a 1st grader when his teacher recommended he try. He first appeared in commercials for brands including Target and Applebee's.
His first major role came in the 2011 film Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules as Harry Gilbertson. Between 2014 and 2015, he appeared as Georgie on the CBC drama Strange Empire.
He was born and raised in Canada.
His Fargo character Gordo was the nephew of the 1st season's main antagonist, Lester, who was played by Martin Freeman.
