Sought-after Indian actress who appeared in films such as "Arunachalam" and "Padayappa." The government of Andhra Pradesh gave her three Nadi awards, and she also won seven Filmfare awards.
She made her on-screen debut in a film directed by her father's friend, "Gandharva" from 1992. Her career really took off after her appearance in "Ammoru" from 1995.
She won the Silver Lotus award for her film "Dweepa" from 2002.
Her father was Kannada film producer and writer K. S. Satyanarayan. She died in a plane crash at the age of 31. Following her tragic death, her husband and sister established a social welfare charity in her honor.
Her co-star in "Padayappa" was actor Rajinikanth.
