Born Bobby R. Colvin, Jr. and better known by his stage name of "Soufside," this Mississippi-based rapper recorded hit singles such as "Got Me Feeling" and "Hello."
He released his debut EP, Hard Work Pays Off, in 2012.
In 2010, he launched a YouTube channel called Soufsidemusic. Using the Twitter handle @SOUFSIDE, he had previously started a social media account called "I'm Just Coolin."
He was born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi, and he later played football at a college in Atlanta, Georgia. He and his sisters were born to Pamela Colvin and Pastor Bobby Colvin, Sr.
It was after listening to an album by Krayzie Bone and the Bone Thug & Harmony hip hop group that Soufside decided to pursue a career as a rapper.
