Singer-songwriter whose songs were featured in numerous TV shows and films. She was named the second Starbucks Hear Music Artist.
She attended the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School. She was signed to Velour Records in 2004.
She worked with many artists, including Chaka Khan, Joni Mitchell, and Quincy Jones.
Her father was artist Peter Kitchell. They had a photography exhibit together at Gallery 137. She grew up with a younger brother named Max.
She appeared on many talk and news shows, including the Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and programs on CNN and CBS.
