Icelandic poet, author, and lyricist who is known for From the Mouth of the Whale, The Blue Fox, I've Seen It All, and other works.
He published his first poetry collection, Synir, in 1978, when he was sixteen years old.
He co-founded Medusa, a cultural group in the neo-Surrealist tradition.
He settled in Reykjavik with his wife and two children.
He and singer Bjork collaborated on their first project -- a song called "Isobel" -- in 1995.
