Turkish director, screenwriter, and politician who is recognized for having served as a Member of the Grand National Assembly as part of the Istanbul and Ankara constituency. He is also known for having directed the feature films The International in 2006 F Tipi in 2012.
He attended the University of Ankara where he studied political science. While in school, he participated in the military junta movement that overturned the government but also resulted in his arrest. After serving time, he directed the feature film The International in 2007 which was critically acclaimed.
He is known for having won the Best Picture award at the 2007 International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival for his film The International.
His father was the founder and leader of the provincial office of Behice Boran's Workers Party of Turkey during the 1960's.
He worked with actors Ozgu Namal and Umut Kurt when he wrote, directed and starred in the 2006 feature film The International.
