Gymnast who won four gold medals at the 2016 Olympics in the all-around, team, floor exercise and vault competitions. Through her success at the Olympics and in World Championship events, she has become one of the most decorated gymnasts in U.S. history.
She trained for thirty hours a week while still attending The Redd School. She won her first vault gold medal at the Jr. Visa Championships in 2012.
She won ten gold medals at World Championship events from 2013 to 2015. In 2018, Lifetime made a movie about her titled The Simone Biles Story: Courage To Soar.
She was raised by her grandparents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, as her mother Shannon Biles struggled with substance abuse. She has siblings named Adria, Ashley, Tevin, Ron Jr., and Adam. In 2020, she began dating NFL player Jonathan Owens. She previously dated fellow gymnast Stacey Ervin.
She won a silver medal at the 2013 American Cup one year before Jordyn Wieber won gold at the same event.
