English striker who has lent his talents to a variety of teams including Reading, Swindon Town and West Bromwich Albion, leading Football League One in scoring and receiving the Swindon Town Player of The Season award for the 2008-09 season. In 2011, he won the Nations Cup title while representing the Republic of Ireland.
He attended Downsway Primary School and Denefield School. He began playing on the youth squad of his hometown team, Reading, in 1996, when he was 9 years old.
He was named Man of the Match for his performance in an October 2011 match against Armenia which helped the Republic of Ireland secure a spot in the UEFA Euro 2012 play-offs.
He was born in the Tilehurst suburb of Reading, England.
He was teammates with star Irish striker Robbie Keane at the UEFA Euro 2012.
