Well-renowned Indian playback singer whose vocals can be heard on the soundtracks to such films as Passion, Take and Udanchhoo. Her hit songs have included "Pehli Pehli Bar Baliye," "Ae Shivani" and "Rang Deeni."
Her first film credit as a performer was in 1996's Khamoshi: The Musical.
She once won the Mirchi Award for Best Lyric Writer.
Her father Vishwaraj is a tabla player, while her sister Shweta is also a singer.
She's collaborated musically with composer Amit Trivedi and rapper Badshah.
