Though best remembered for scoring the 1992 Hollywood feature film Memoirs of an Invisible Man, this California-born composer also worked on Willard, the Final Destination films, and several television projects.
In the late 1970s, she contributed to the soundtrack of the Oscar-nominated film Apocalypse Now. Just a decade later, she became the first woman in Hollywood history to score a feature film.
She received Daytime Emmy Awards for her work on Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond.
