Shinji Mikami

Known best for designing and producing the popular Resident Evil video game series, this gaming entrepreneur also worked on such popular Capcom games as Ace Attorney and Devil May Cry. He founded his own video game production company, Tango Gameworks, in 2010.
After studying business at Japan's Doshisha University, he began working for Capcom. Early in his career, he designed Disney character-based games for Super Nintendo and Game Boy.
His Resident Evil series popularized the PlayStation video game system and also inspired a horror film series.
He was born and raised in Japan's Yamaguchi Prefecture.
He and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi both had prominent video game designing careers in Japan.
