Japanese pop singer best known as a member of the NEWS band. Also an actor, he appeared in such Japanese television shows as Soukon and Ya-Ya-Yah.
He joined the Johnny's Entertainment talent agency when he was eleven years old.
He played the guitar and also composed some of NEWS' songs.
He dated Misako Uno of the band AAA (Attack All Around).
He and Takahisa Masuda were both members of NEWS.
