Scottish actress who has been nominated for both a Golden Satellite Award and a TV Choice Award during her long run on the series Inspector Lynley Mysteries.
She graduated from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 1989 and made her on-screen debut five years later in an episode of Taggart as the character, Michelle Gibson.
She was a Best Actress Award winner at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 1997 for her role as Terry in her film debut of Bumping the Odds.
She is the oldest of five children and went to high school in Kirkcaldy.
She is an Adam Smith College alumni just like acclaimed actor Ewan McGregor.
