He studied at London's Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.
He voiced the character of Goh in a 2006 video game called Shinobido: Way of the Ninja.
His marriage to Ashley McKinney produced two children.
He co-starred with Brian Cox in a 2009 television version of John Wyndham's novel The Day of the Triffids.
