Shane Kelly
Cyclist
Known for the 1000M time trial, he was a competitor at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, his last major competition before retirement.
He first started cycling at age five, and he was a junior kilo winner at the Australian National Track Championships.
He won three Olympic medals: silver in 1992 (1000M time trial), bronze in 2000 (100M time trial), and bronze in 2004 (Keirin).
He was born in Ararat, Victoria, Australia.
In 2008 he joined a list of Australians in the Olympics that included NBA center Andrew Bogut.
