She had a child with her boyfriend at the time, Jason Bleick, in July 2011. She was married to Ahmet Zappa from 2004 to 2006. She revealed in October 2018 she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
She portrayed the character Liz Sherman in the Hellboy films alongside Ron Perlman, who plays the title character.
