Retired soccer striker known primarily for his time with Atlante, then of Liga MX, where he scored 72 goals over 119 games from 2002 to 2005.
He spent his youth career with Colo-Colo and made his senior debut with the club in 1998.
He had 17 caps with the Chilean national team, scoring six goals. He won a bronze medal with the team at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
He grew up in Viña del Mar, Chile, but had his most successful years playing in Mexico.
He and Luis Gabriel Rey played together on Atlante.
