He was the on-air personality for country radio station WYNK-FM/Baton Rouge from 1997 to 2011.
He wrote the Kenny Rogers song "Handprints on the Wall".
He was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Casey Kasem also played Shaggy in many of the Scooby Doo films.
