Writer, producer and showrunner of AMC's hit show The Walking Dead who took over the latter of the roles in season 4. He created the series Fillmore! and has been a writer on NBC's Life, Fox's Drive and ABC's FlashForward.
He is an alumnus of the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television.
He co-wrote the script to Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
He and actress Julia Wackenheim married in August of 2009.
He replaced Glen Mazzara as the showrunner of The Walking Dead in season 4.
