She studied acting in New York City at both the Stella Adler Conservatory and the Neighborhood Playhouse.
She also worked as an acting coach.
Her father, Bernard Trainor, held a high-ranking position in the United States Marine Corps.
She co-starred with Michael J. Pollard in the 1993 film Skeeter.
