He started wrestling in 1999 and first competed professionally in 2003.
In 2016, he was named Best Sportsperson & TV Personality. He also appeared in the 2015 film Uvaa.
He was born to Umed and Ramodevi Singh and married Payal Rohatgi in 2011.
He and Gauhar Khan, who eventually won, both appeared on Bigg Boss 7.
