She was nominated for a Filmfare award for her supporting role in the 1990 Mahesh Bhatt film, Jurm.
She was married to cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin from 1996 to 2010.
She appeared in the 1991 film, Police Mathu Daada, with the Indian mega-star, Vishnuvardhan.
