Broadway performer known for her dance-heavy roles in such musicals as Pippin, Gigi, A Chorus Line, and Mack & Mabel. Also a screen actress, she co-starred with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1980s movie Conan the Barbarian.
During the early 1970s, she appeared in fifty episodes of The Dean Martin Comedy World, a popular NBC variety show.
She performed in the 1980 film version of Xanadu.
A native of Kansas City, Missouri, she attended high school in Prairie Village, Kansas. Her marriage to Josh Taylor ended in divorce.
Renowned choreographer Bob Fosse cast Bergman in Dancin', a Tony Award-winning musical revue that premiered in 1978.
