Samuel T. Durrance

American scientist who flew aboard two NASA Space Shuttle missions as a payload specialist. His research concerns the origins and evolution of the solar systems and he has written over 60 technical papers on the subject.
He attended Cal State L.A. before attaining a Doctor of Philosophy degree in astro-geophysics at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1980.
He has logged over 615 hours in space as a payload specialist and member of the crew of Space Shuttle Columbia.
He resided in Florida where he was a professor at Florida Tech.
He helped astronauts like John Glenn.
