Samin Nosrat

Chef who gained widespread fame for her 2017 cookbook Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat, which gained a spot on The New York Times' best-seller list. She has also contributed as a food columnist to The New York Times.
She majored in English at UC-Berkeley. She began her career in the culinary arts while working at Chez Panisse as a busser initially before working up to the kitchen as a cook.
She appeared in the Netflix original series Cooked. Her cookbook Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat won the 2018 James Beard Award for general cooking.
Her parent's immigrated to the US from Iran three years prior to her birth.
She and Alice Waters worked alongside one another while she was a chef in Berkeley.
