Known for her roles in such Bollywood and Tollywood movies as Maine Dil Tujhko Diya and Jai Chiranjeeva, this Indian screen actress also gave an acclaimed performance in the 2008 Tamil drama Vaaranam Aayiram.
Born in Rajahmundry, India, to a microbiologist mother and a businessman father, she began her career in entertainment after appearing in a 1996 music video produced by Indian vocalist Pankaj Udhas.
She earned a degree from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai, India.
She married businessman Akshai Varde in early 2014 and they welcomed a son in 2015. Her two older sisters, Meghna Reddy and Sushma Reddy, both worked as models. Sushma also pursued a Bollywood acting career.
She greatly admired American talk show host Oprah Winfrey and had the opportunity to meet her during Winfrey's visit to India.
