Government official and author who became the 28th United States Ambassador to the United Nations. Her book, A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide, won the Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction in 2003.
She graduated from Harvard Law School in 1999 and subsequently published her first book, Realizing Human Rights: Moving from Inspiration to Impact.
She worked on Barack Obama's 2008 Presidential campaign but resigned after it was reported that she had called Hillary Clinton a 'monster.'
She married Cass Sunstein; the couple raised one son.
She joined Barack Obama's 2008 campaign for the U.S. Presidency.
