Sam Allardyce

British footballer who played for Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion and began managing West Ham United in 2011. He was voted the Premier League Manager of the Month four times, in 8/2001, 11/2003, 1/2004, and 12/2006.
He began his professional soccer career in the early 1970s as a center-half for the Bolton Wanderers.
He played for the Tampa Bay Rowdies (North American Soccer League) during the team's 1983 season.
He was born in Dudley, West Midlands, England to Robert and Mary Agnes Allardyce. He grew up with one older brother.
As manager of West Ham United, Allardyce signed player Kevin Nolan to the football club.
