Known best for her role as Jo Masters in the popular ITV series The Bill, this British actress also appeared in The Lakes (as Juliet Bray) and in episodes of EastEnders and Murphy's Law.
After training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, she began her professional stage career at London's Royal National and Royal Court Theatres.
In the early 2000s, she co-starred with David Walliams in Attachments, a short-lived BBC series that attracted a cult following.
She and her physician husband, Jonathan Schofield, welcomed their first child, a son named Rafael, in early 2006.
She played the role of Julie in a Steve Coogan series called Paul and Pauline Calf's Video Diary.
