Sabrina Ionescu
Basketball Player
Point guard who began playing for the University of Oregon Ducks in 2016. She went on to become the NCAA all-time leader in career triple-doubles and the Pac-12 Conference all-time leader in assists. She joined the New York Liberty in 2020.
She was a 4-year varsity basketball letter winner at Miramonte High School.
She won a gold medal with the U.S. Women's National 3x3 hoops team at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. She was the number 1 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA draft by the New York Liberty.
Her father Dan owned a limousine service. She has a twin brother named Eddy who played basketball at City College of San Francisco.
She received the 2019 John R. Wooden Award and both the 2018 and 2019 Nancy Lieberman Award.
