Actor best known for portraying Grumio in the ITV2 series Plebs and Alex Venables in the BBC One series After You've Gone. He's also made guest appearances on shows like Up the Women, The Work Experience, and Undercover.
He began his career performing in school productions before performing at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre. He earned his first screen credit in 2003 in Wire in the Blood.
He has also been an active stage actor, with roles in shows at the Royal National Theatre, the Shaftsbury Theatre, and the Bush Theatre.
He was born in Masbrough, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. He has been dating actress Ruby Bentall.
In 2008, he appeared as Luke Rattigan in the legendary science fiction series Doctor Who alongside David Tennant, Freema Agyeman, and Catherine Tate.
