Record-setting high jumper from Spain who is considered one of the best in her country. She has taken home gold medals at events like the European Championships and European Indoor Championships.
She first gained international attention at the World Junior Championships in 1998.
Her outdoor best of 2.02 meters and indoor best of 2.01 meters both broke Spanish national records in 2007.
Her father was a referee at the 1992 Olympic Games. She has four siblings.
She and Anna Chicherova are both their female long jumpers.
