Portuguese professional football player known for his work with the Benfica football club. He is also known for his work as a defender for the Portuguese national team. He began playing for Manchester City in 2020.
He first began his youth career and training with the Estrela da Amadora club before moving to Benfica's youth academy in 2008. He made his senior career debut on the clubs B team and in 2017 he joined their first team. He first played for Portugal in 2013 for their Under 16 national team and joined their first national team during the 2018 season.
He was awarded the Cosme Damiao Award for Revelation of the Year during his 2017 professional season. He is also known for having played in the 2018 World Cup for Portugal as well.
He was born and raised in Amadora, Portugal. He has an older brother named Ivan, as well as sisters named Beatriz and Carolina. He's been dating singer April Ivy.
As a player for Portugal's national team, he played in the 2018 FIFA World Cup alongside Rui Patricio and Cristiano Ronaldo.
