She graduated from Brookfield Community School before studying philosophy, politics and economics at Warwick University.
Her song "All That I Am" was chosen as the closing track for the season finale of MTV's Awkward in 2011.
She is the younger sister of producer Gareth Emery. Her mother passed away from cancer.
She was featured on the track "A Day That Fades" by the EDM duo Cosmic Gate, composed of Nic Chagall and Claus Terhoeven.
